March 31, 2010: She Lies Alone

Have you ever wanted something so bad it was all you could think about?

This photo was inspired by that feeling and this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzIK5FaC38w

March 25 & 26, 2010: Brady & Grandpa

Last March Chandace, Brady and I went to our hometown of Fresno, California to visit our Dad and our Grandma.

This was the first time they were able to see Brady, he was about four months old in this photo. Brady was teething this whole trip so he was very grumpy. The only thing that made him happy was watching Looney Tunes in bed with Grandpa.

Now that hes gotten older its definitely apparent he's got his Grandpa Cook's goofy personality :)

March 24, 2010: These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

I probably have two of the coolest and funniest grandparents a girl could ask for. They are always cracking me up so I wind up sneaking photos of them quite a bit.

Love you Nanny & Pa!

March 23, 2010: Graffiti

This is a photo I recently dug up of the lovely and talented Kali B.

We did a series of portraits around the city and I was really pleased with the result.

March 22, 2010: Keri Barlow

Another one for today!

Back January I finally got to photograph my sister Keri. Keri has dabbled in modeling here and there over the years and is currently working as a makeup artist. Her work is phenomenal, in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

We had a great location lined up but it fell through at the last minute, so we ended up shooting on an old mattress in Chandaces basement. My photo shoots are so glamorous!

Thanks Keri!

March 22, 2010: This Place Is Lonely

Its been almost exactly a year since I threw Chandace out in -5C weather in no more than a slip and made her pose for my camera.

We played around in the area around my mom's property for a couple hours before we went back to the house. I had one more idea so I went into the garage and grabbed a shovel. I found a mud puddle in the front yard so I literally picked up some mud with the shovel and flung it at Chandace. She was not entirely impressed....

This series is really important to me because it was my real first photo shoot and it really lit the fire under me to pursue photography.

Here's an outtake from that shoot that I recently dug up:

March 19, 2010: Grease Monkeys

Back in January I had the pleasure of doing family photos for Tiffany and Mark.

They came to me with this awesome location, a great concept and a lot of killer ideas of their own. Their kids were fantastic and the whole family was game for anything.

Enjoy!

March 18, 2010: Jamie Barlow

Jamie is my youngest sister and absolutely gorgeous! We did this little impromptu shoot back in February. I've always wanted to get Jamie in front of the camera, shes a striking girl with the most beautiful eyes.

I drove her out to a quad trail by my mom's property and snapped this one.

Big thanks to Jamie for this stunning photo!
(Boring techy info to come later)

The Triumphant Return of Blog!

Mmmkay, Chancie's been lazy. Blame it on her.

I'm finally getting back to posting, yay! First photo coming up tonight, look for it!

Day 17: September 20th, 2009

Chandace has more plastic in her wallet than anyone I know. I thought this photo would showcase her complusive card collecting!
